Mission Certification: Accomplished

Since I have cleared two of the Microsoft’s certifications within a month I have been besieged with questions of my colleagues on how to clear the exam. There is phobia that the certification exams are tough and we must prepare rigorously for them. It’s nothing like that. Now I feel happy to share with you the inside of cracking the certifications.
Somebody said in the past that “Work Smart Not Hard!“.This is the trick since we do not get enough time as professionals.

Now there are 4 ways to achieve this.

1- ASSESS EVERYTHING THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE.

Before you plunge into something headfirst, remember that enthusiasm needs to be tempered with wisdom. Look over every aspect of the exam, and allow yourself ample “pondering time” so that you can be sure that every detail is accomplished on time and accurately. In my case I collect every possible resource I can get whether it is the book specially for certifications, other pdf materials, dump questions etc.

2-MAKE AN OUTLINE.

Whether it’s in your head or on paper, you should have a checklist in mind and follow it in order. You don’t want to repeat steps, duplicate the efforts of others, make mistakes or forget anything. I made a list of the topics which I have to focus most according to the previous dumps questions as they help me to clear the exam with flying colors.

3-LEARN TO SAY NO.

Avoid over scheduling yourself and be realistic about what you can accomplish in a single day. Don’t read too much on one day because you can hardly remember all of them the next day. And you don’t need to read each and every single topic that will be covered in the exam because sometimes there are a lot of questions from a particular chapter and sometimes no questions from another. So have a look at the previous questions and then decide.

4-LIMIT YOUR GOALS.

Try to avoid multi-tasking because you often get less done since your brain is switching back and forth between tasks. Pick one thing to work on and put your best effort into that until it is accomplished. Like if you decide to read one chapter then stick to that chapter finish it and give the mock test as available on the end of the chapter to know your understanding of the chapter and don’t just haphazardly read from different sources.

GETTING MORE DONE IN LESS TIME

1-Consider your materials. Don’t take shortcuts on the quality of your materials.

2-Evaluate your methods. You want them to be as efficient as possible. Do your work when you have no distractions surrounding you. Try to do things in one batches rather than one at a time. You want your efficiency to be maximized as much as possible.

3-Look for shortcuts. This does NOT mean taking the easiest method for the sake of it being so or being lazy.
