At the inaugural function of Orissa.IT@2008 on July 2, 2008, Mindfire Solutions was announced as winner of the award for "Best IT Unit 2008(SME)" in the state of Orissa. The award for "Best IT Unit 2008 (Large)" went to Infosys. The Award was presented by Shri Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister of Orissa.
As developers from around the world congregated at Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC), Mindfire announced the launch of iPhone development services. Leveraging its 9 years of experience in Apple Mac and Mac OS X development and its status as Apple Developer Connection Premier member, Mindfire brings ready iPhone SDK development capabilities to the global market.
Mindfire Consulting will focus on IT staffing needs of clients in the US. The company will offer permanent staffing, contract/consulting and contract-to-perm services.
The past year included its challenges: foreign exchange rate pressures, people pressures, new tax rules, US economic uncertainties and increasing costs. Mindfire has successfully delivered continuous growth during this phase, keeping momentum far ahead of industry.
Mindfire BPO has started construction on facilities and infrastructure for its upcoming 7,000 sq ft 150-seater BPO/ITeS center at Cuttack, India. The center is scheduled to start operations in July, 2008.
Sales and marketing initiatives in Europe are bearing fruit, with new clients seeing benefits in Mindfire's services and expertise. In November alone, 3 new clients contracted us in Netherlands, and 2 in Germany.

Mindfire Solutions has expanded its Delhi Engineering Center by building infrastructure for 150 new people in 10,000 sq ft space. Mindfire has also expanded its Bhubaneswar Engineering Center by building infrastructure for 150 new people in 12,000 sq ft space.

Mindfire Solutions has established a second Engineering Center at Bhubaneswar in the eastern state of Orissa, India. The new 8,000 sq. ft. center will seat 120 software engineers and is being started with 40 software engineers. The center is equipped with failover capabilities and redundant system configurations to enable Disaster Recovery from our New Delhi center.
