GPS Position Analyzer

This server application connects to a remote GPS unit, collects and analyzes each position record of vehicle working on field using UDP connection. The application continually congregates UDP positions, parses them and transforms each into useful units that helps getting the field information on a real-time basis. Mindfire team was involved in migrating the original VB6 application into VB.NET, fixing issues with the old application and converting the legacy system into a multi-threaded application to making better use of DAQ (Data Acquisition) and parallel I/O operation to increase overall performance and responsiveness. SocketWrench Standard Edition/ .NET Edition was used for robust connection with the remote GPS unit and mini computer.
