The requirement was to develop a simple desktop application that allows the editing of a Dbf file or text file. The files contained information about various trips that needed to be scheduled/assigned to specific drivers. The application used to read the respective file selected by the user and the
contents of the files get populated in a grid. The user had options to modify the data of two columns in the grid. Once the edit is complete and the end user is completed with the changes made they can save the data back to the respective file format.
The application was very user interactive as it allowed the end
user to filter out the scheduled trips based on the Driver number being selected. Also it allowed the user to compare and see data in two panes as the view is split to horizontal frame one above the other. It also had options to convert the text file to the DBF file format as well. Also the application had a functionality implemented that colors records on some matching conditions in the grid.
