World of boxing on mobile devices

Aim of project was to port the existing boxing game on BREW device to Verizon, Alltel, etc carriers around 60+ devices.
Its a skill game with increasingly difficult opponents and player gaining better gloves and more stamina by training.

Ported game from J2ME to BREW devices like V3m. Then ported the game across 60+ devices for carriers like Verizon, Alltel, etc.
Now something about the game. It involves dancing, painting the walls, and filling in the gaps for music lyrics across various decades. New content can be downloaded from a server using CDMA network.

Game was developed for devices Vx6000 and subsequently ported to 20+ BREW devices for Verizon Wireless.
Game is another variant of typical "brick game". In this game you have to knock down the progressively advancing blocks from screen before they reach you, using an axe. You throw axe to blocks in such a way that they should have at least one similar block touching them. Thats the only way to destroy them and collect points. The game becomes difficult as you advance as the blocks come much faster on screen.


Live vehicle arrival predictions for selected stop on your BREW enabled devices

Idea is to present a unique system that provides accurate real-time arrival information of the public transit vehicle- not schedules-at the commuter's stop.
The project is to develop a BREW client side application to present data to user and a Java based SERVER system to support the client.

The BREW application provides the user predictions of various vehicles arriving at a chosen stop as accurately as possible. It has enhanced features like bookmarked stops,  recently used stops, automatic updates, alarms, access to related information and advertising.

This project involved porting the game from our client to 30+ US BREW handsets.
We dit the code & artwork repurposing to get the game on all the required resolutions. Game had multiple levels with different and more difficult enemies and map which needed saving the game state and multiple save points in the same level to be able to start the game from that point when player died.


Instant Messaging - Mobile Device Software

It is a BREW enabled mobile device software through which a User can have Instant Messaging on one or all of the portals provided – AIM, MSN or Yahoo simultaneously. It helps a user to interact with their friends same as we do on Windows desktop version of messengers. Likewise we can send a friend request to a user; block any friend/buddy from the list; set alerts on any buddy. As a part of Project we have ported the application to several different types of devices that includes devices having QWERTY keyboard and Touch Screen enabled.

Application actually interacts with the server via two means using TCP/IP using GPRS and the other way was through sending/receiving SMS (Short Message Service). As per Server Implementation, the Client (Mobile Instant Messaging) interacts accordingly using GPRS or SMS services.
